It is best if textiles are not exposed to direct sunlight. Fading will occur if textiles are exposed to prolonged sunlight. When framing fabrics please allow for space between the fabric and glass. A “shadow box” frame works well for this, as does padded or double matting. Use acid free mat board. Avoid using adhesives. Take care to keep the artwork away from moisture and extreme temperature changes. With a few precautions you can ensure that the artwork will continue to delight and inspire you for years to come. |
